MemberI was having a problem like that too. What version of windows are you running?
I was running winXP. I had to remove a security update from windows for IE6 and then everything went back to normal. I don’t know the exact name of the update file, but you can look through your ADD/REMOVE program list and find it there just start working backwards till you find the update saying something like “cumulative security update for Internet explorer”(release date was in june?)Good luck

MemberWhile you are editing your profile, in the nickname space, type: Alt. 0160 (hold down the Alt key type 0160, then release the alt key) do that 4 times, then click save. Have your personal setting to “show nickname” in messenger. Now when you go into a chatroom, you will show up as a face with no name and when you type, you’ll show up as just a ” : “
This works with 7.5, i dunno about the others.
Enjoy =)

Memberpossible solution?
It seems that all of the security udate program files are listed in the add/remove programs listing, i wonder if removing them would cure the problem? I was able to find a detailed description about what each file update does.I’ll post them and maybe someone can offer some insight as to which one should be removed(if removing would cure)?http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=911280

I think what is happening is that Yahoo uses html/css scripting for its window formats. And, i guess the new udates are not allowing script (or Yahoo inner scripting) to be run outside of IExplorer?
Almost forgot!!! The file where is says there is an error contains these commands:
“
“
“
“
““<BODY TOPMARGIN=0 LEFTMARGIN=0 BOTTOMMARGIN=0 RIGHTMARGIN=0 BGCOLOR=WHITE
SCROLL=NO>
“
“function loadSource(s){document.body.innerHTML=s;}
“
“
“I’m not an expert, just a logical guess, i guess =) All opinions and possible solutions are welcome. very very very very very very very very welcome indeed.
ThanX

MemberHI,
oh no! Even more problems!! =) Now i can no longer enter public chatrooms. As soon as i attempt to, the same script error window pops up and “Ypager has caused an error and needs to close.” crash!!! Kinda brings me back to the good ol’ blue screen days with win95. hee hee hee.
Ummmm, i am using winXP SP2 and Yahoo’s latest, tried re-installing but nothing changed. =( As far as the phish filter, i’m not sure. I only did the security updates that MS provided. I think there were a total of 8, but I didn’t hang around to watch. (it was dinner time and my stomach decided to be top priority)
well, now i feel a little better, I know its not just me =)

MemberHi,
I have had that problem before in the past but it only seems to happen with voice in conference. I tend to think that it is some kind of error connecting to Yahoo’s voice servers. If i would be signed on to Yahoo, cpu usage would normally be between 2% and 6%. Then as soon as I’d create a conference, it’d jump to 100%. and, if i disable voice in the conference, its go back to normal. but then after about 15 min.s or so, it’d go back to normal.
I really don’t know what causes it, it doesn’t seem to follow any type of pattern. I tried writing yahoo about it, and of course, no answer. =)later
