i suggest you visit http://www.freecreed.com (hope im not violating forum rules) because it discusses about locked or banned ID and ways to resolve it. this helps me in my case, i hope this will help you too.

does this problem only occurs when donwloading yahoo messenger? how about other downloads? were you able to download others with no problem except messenger?also, try deleting the Yahoo folder in the program files so that when you download messenger it would create a new folder for it to extract the files..
i had the same problem of you before… what i did was i did not log in to messenger using that BANNED ID for a week.. and it fixes itself automatically… trying to log in to your banned id will reset the ban timer, meaning if the ban had been in effect for 10 hours then you log in, it will go back to zero..try not logging in for the meantime.. hope this will help.. if not let us know… 🙂
i think the Ymlite site forum will be more helpful since it discusses almost all the problems Ymlite users have encountered. 😉
hi, since you are able to use all other yahoo services execept messenger using that ID you are saying, it seems that you have a CHAT BAN only.. try to change your password first and see if it will do any good… then log-in in Yahoo messenger… let us know the results…
hmmm… public profiles or sub-ID’s are oftentimes used to hide the identity of a user.. and at the moment i haven’t find a tool for finding sub-ID’s without owning the account, so if anyone knows, one pls let me know.. lol..
at the moment, i haven’t found a competitor for Y!Tunnel and it is still a mystery why CHET seems to have ditched the program where he made a lot of fortune..there are a lot of 3rd party chat clients as Oreo said but of course we cant deny the fact that Y!tunnel is the only application integrated in YM… so just check them out…
