Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know if Ytunnel is officially out of business? I went to the website, http://www.ytunnelpro.com, and it says the page is not found.
Thanks,
MikeMarch 1, 2005 at 10:08 pm #115908NettiMemberHmmm Good Question, could be. I know I was in there a few weeks ago and saw that Chet had somehow arisen from the dead, but as to what’s going on now, I haven’t a clue. Could be their Host banned them, etc. We’ll keep looking.
March 1, 2005 at 11:44 pm #115919CopenJackenHagenMemberI don’t know either, I came here for answer’s, I just had to redownload messenger today, and now ytunnel isn’t controlling anything out of messenger??? I noticed about 4-5 day’s ago that the website wasn’t up. WE NEED ANSWERS. CHET WHERE ARE YOU???

It wouldnt surprise me if it went out of business, although. A product like that without any competition, shouldn’t have ‘gone’ out of business…
When you purchase y! tunnel doesnt it come w/ some sort of updates and support. Or something along those lines?
Maybe chet is in some legal trouble for not providing support or updates.
Who knows
March 2, 2005 at 3:15 am #115916ocguy2003MemberI dont want to create a rat hole, but the whole ytunnel situation is frustrating to us paying customers. One of the last posts that chet had on the ytunnelpro website was that an update was coming. my cynical side thinks that he did that to raise more cash right before he dumped the website. I hope that is simply not true and I really dont want this thread to turn into a bashing of ytunnel or its creator.
I do like the product because I don’t have to relearn an interface… its basically still Yahoo chat with enhancements and I like that.
That being said, I wish someone could offer an explanation as to why the creator, Chet Simpson has become such a mystery. I have never read anything anywhere that can explain why he disappeared for so long, reappeared for a few days, and poof, is gone again. I feel sorry for the moderator(s) of that website, including Donna, that took many arrows trying to support the product without any support behind them.

March 2, 2005 at 3:25 am #115911UnSaKreDMemberMy personal opinions of the creator aside.
Yes, the product is very good, it fixes alot of flaws in yahoo, and is also very easy to use( as you stated, you dont have to re-learn the GUI of y! tunnel)I dont think anyone, beside Chet could really offer an explination to his dissapearance and lack of updates for paying customers.
And I agree with you the moderators of that board and product are taking a lot of heat for something that is not in their control.
I was actually quite surprised to hear donna actually had come back.
March 2, 2005 at 4:23 am #115920CopenJackenHagenMemberAs far as I know wasn’t that update supposed to be automatically done when you opened the program. I had also heard on another site that Yahoo released another build on Feb. 28 regarding the stealth mode, that could explain why I redownloaded messenger and Tunnel wouldn’t take out ad’s, and maybe why my voice has been screwy. I don’t know about you people but I am a paying customer for yTunnelPro as of about 5 month’s ago, and I really hope for more advancment’s in the product.
March 2, 2005 at 4:53 am #115912lethalmanMemberwhy i try to see if thares updates it does nothink.
March 2, 2005 at 7:14 pm #115921SlasherMemberYes, it would seem Ytunnel has gone bye bye. I understand Chet had gotten fed up with all the pirating. What I don’t agree with is treating use who actually bought the program like he has lately. Is a simple message saying he’s quitting the product too much to ask for? I don’t worry about booters that much. If I’m being attacked I have far better anti-boot programs than Ytunnel, but damnit, I LIKE Ytunnel. It’s convienient. Oh well, I guess common courtesy is too much to ask for from Mr. Simpson. Too bad, too, because his product was brilliant.
March 2, 2005 at 9:41 pm #115909NettiMemberA new line of gossip. Well of course it’s word of mouth, but hey thought I’d pass it along. The lastest is that Chet’s hosts server was taken down and therefore chets site. Have to keep looking and see what’s up. Or maybe search around to see if they resurface somewhere else. I know there was a post AFTER the long disappearance somewhere around January 29th about another new update. Then the entire site crashed. Keep looking. Personally I think that chet would be stupid if he up and took off and took the site down. ytunnel is a money tree with hundreds of purchases a day. But hey that’s just me. LOL
March 3, 2005 at 3:45 am #115913lethalmanMemberhow can we stop getting booting now bro?
March 3, 2005 at 1:10 pm #115922SlasherMembersame as always…Chat client. I personally use Yazak. I configure it to only accept pm’s from people on my buddy list and block all invites. Also, you can log into the Chat 2 servers with it. Yahelite is also an excellent chat client if set up properly. I personally don’t use it, not that it’s not a good program. I only use chat clients when I’m being attacked because they aren’t as nice an I-face as regular messenger. Which, is why I purchased Ytunnel in the first place…grrrr
March 3, 2005 at 3:32 pm #115917ocguy2003MemberHi Everyone,
