Thank you all for the answers.
My question was that of detecting if someone is offline, appearing offline (invisible) or just blocking you. And, if there is no way of detecting it… well, that’s the answer I was looking for.

Btw, mess.be is a very interesting site!

The link you wrote is a very good resource site about MSN protocol studying, but unfortunately doesn’t talk about the invisible status and, in particular, about the issue I mentioned. 🙁
(Were you prolly talking about a particular plugin/software for the purpose?)
