what “pots” need to be opened on AIM to just IM someone without being disconnected all the time.

i upgraded my linksys router but that had lil effect on how long I was able to stay online ….keeps saying I have lost a connection with AIM as an error message

i tried the linksys steps you mentioned to open up the port on my router, but that did nothing. my roomates all have AIM access(thus, not a router problem im guessing) but I still get a message error that says that I have signed on too many times or something..even though I sign on once. this message happens once im o and cut off after a few minutes or before I even get a chance to sign on….any ideas?

forgot to mention that I have windows ME operating system and a linksys router AIM 5.5

Are you sick and tired of "Top 10" lists that don't really help you make decisions that will improve your life? That's a pet peeve of mine, too, and I'm doing something about it.
