Shove in your windows disk
see if you can reinstal the stuff that isnt working by itself, via add & remove windows components.. in the same place you add and remove stuff you installed…
if not try running the ‘Repair’ function on the windows disk
what OS you running?

yea, it should have been installed when you installed MSN Explorer [ i think ] i havent installed/used it, to be honnist.
try reinstalling msn explorer, and if you can, make sure the ‘install messenger’ option is ticked/selected
also, because your on ME
make sure you are installing the
> Win98/ME versions of the software [/b] <
i beleive Messenger 6/6.1 has 2 diferent versions, 98/me and a 2k/xp/03
i dunno for sure, but that maybe could cause

UNKOWNInstallerAssembliesGlobal.”and if your installing NT software on your ME comp maybe that could screw the registry up aswel…

just some ideas…………………….
sounds to me like you cannot directly connect to your contacts computer and/or your contacts cannot directly connect to your computer
that would also explain this…

whenever ppl r sending me a file.. it’s alawys so slow..
anyone know why it’s like that?
is it becuz im using a router? or the norton anti virus?-=-
check your firewall, make sure messenger can use all the ports it needs for the services you are having trouble with
and if its not any firewall problems then i rekkon its ya router 🙂
