Tony
MemberTrillian supports incoming file transfers for Yahoo.
Tony
MemberNo, it is not a typo in the code. The host wwp.icq.com is correct and ICQ status works on all other OSI hosts…
Are you behind a firewall and/or do you have a private DNS server? It doesn’t seem to be able to look up wwp.icq.com…
Tony
MemberThe reason why the Trillian status indicator was added is that people on the Trillian Discussion Forums wanted to be able to show that they were online with Trillian with one online icon.
I do share your concern and yes, most people use the AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo icons instead. I’m still waiting for Trillian to add support for the clickable IM links.
I guess Trillian and Jabber could be removed in the next version. Trillian might be too confusing and the Jabber icon unfortunately doesn’t work too well…
Tony
MemberYou have to select one of your AIM, ICQ or MSN accounts to use for your Trillian indicator.
Enter aolhandle or 129479012 or msnhandle@msn.com
Trillian doesn’t launch with any indicator. Trillian doesn’t support that.

MemberHow OSI works is a secret, but yes it makes some kind of request to the IM servers.
Tony
MemberWhat do you want to be able to change? Let me know and I can consider to make it customizable in the next version of OSI.
Tony
MemberCurrently, you cannot change the appearance of OSI. Decompiling the .class files doesn’t help, the code is well hidden inside.
What you can do, however, is to put some formatting into the message part in your status.conf. This is on your own risk though, and make sure you test it with different browsers.
Tony
MemberNot sure if you’ve seen these…

MemberYou can launch dMSN through Java Web Start without installing anything (if you have Java installed).
Launch it from http://www.dmsn.nl/webstart/index.html
Tony
MemberYes, the Admin Tool is a graphical user interface.
1. No, there isn’t an equivalent command line tool. You can perform some commands from the command line. Please refer to the readme.txt file. You need to edit status.conf manually.
2. Most of the options in status.conf are available in readme.txt. It seems that the failover solution is not documented in readme.txt. However, the format for the failover host is: failover=http://www.arcisoft.com:99

MemberThe ways of getting the status is one of the secrets of Online Status Indicator.
Some parts of Online Status Indicator are very difficult (or even impossible) to write in PHP.
Tony
MemberTyping notification is available in Trillian if you Enable Direct Connection.

MemberWhat do you mean? It is supposed to open a window with the text “Sending a message to…” and open a message window in MSN Messenger. That is more or less the only way to do it with MSN…
