New Version of Yahoo Messenger is out and its urls is
truth be told I knows the version is out.. but havent yet installed it due to the fact that there isnt a patch from anyone to get rid of the Launchcast and the ability to reduce the size of Yahoo messenger, Im just waiting to hear from Heretic if hes going to do this patch if so then I will install it.. sounds petty but the second launcast is running on mine it causes so many problems with me thats why I sent in another post askign if Heretics going to do an updated patch for 1710. Otheriwse id be happy to tell you whats new and whats not.

i installed it, I dont see much change, just a few new calls to the registry.
Other than that, I havent quite noticed anything,

Thats all very well and being, but you havent ACTUALLY stated what the “improvements” are in 1710. Hopefully the got rid of launchcast, improved the scoreboard for sports and added a profile viewer AND brought the damned join user option back
travellerscross there is a patch to resize yahoo 6. I use it. Search the forum for Resize or something. I’m sure you’ll find it.
Miami thanks for helping but if you look at the patch you are using which I thinks is Heretics Yahoo 6 Mini Patch… when each version comes out ie 1643 and 1671 he has to update the patch for each version and that patch wont run on 1710.

still takes up space. Thats why I liked 5.6. And the scoreboard. you know? the bit down the bottom that tells me that the maple leafs are winning and the packers are sucking eggs right now? the sports scoreboard. iono…it just strikes me that if we wanted launchcast, you could open up http://www.winamp.com and use shoutcast, which is far, far superior. I’m starting to lean more towards MSN anyway…I get away with more from the boss with that
Unfortunately, the new version still doesn’t address the idle bug that afflicts Win9x users. I’m still set to idle no matter if I’m using the computer or not.

It wont take up space if you remove it from your content tabs.:D
New version also doesn’t address that issue where the chats and IMs keep growing.
