Whoa. Help!
In AIM 5.2, I always enjoyed the fact that AIM could play a music file (in WAV format) when a buddy returned (through the Buddy Alert option). The music file could be however long as I wanted it: 1 minute, 5 minutes, or an hour. It would always work just as long as it was in WAV format.
Now I just installed AIM 5.5.3572, and the nice thing is that I can set an MP3 as the sound file, but it only plays the first 4 seconds or so of the file, whether it’s a WAV or MP3. Can anyone tell me how to fix it, or did AOL just program in a limit for some reason? (I don’t see why they should. It doesn’t hurt them if I have a 10-minute Buddy Alert.)
Heeelp! –screams in lazy urgency–
has anybody found a way to make buddy alerts longer?
