I have a bunch of aim sn’s that im selling. To name a few: Cycle,Cage,Afi,ddr and a ton more. If you are intersted shoot me an Im on “ddr” or email me @ [email protected].
July 29, 2003 at 5:40 pm #58352Someguy03MemberSo you go and take up all these sn’s and then expect people to buy them from you? No one is stuped enough to do that. Its your fault the sn is used anyway, you get all these ones you dont use and then sell them when people couldve gotten them for free.
July 29, 2003 at 7:06 pm #58354Mr.Curlynose1MemberBah, I certainly don’t need one :D.
July 29, 2003 at 7:36 pm #58359MWCchic8Memberi agree with someguy03. I wouldn’t buy a sn when I can get one for free.
July 29, 2003 at 9:33 pm #58361captnpiratessMemberbuying a screenname is pointless. why buy something you can get for free??
July 29, 2003 at 10:01 pm #58355sum41fangurlMemberwhen people make up SN’s most of the time it has something to do with them or there lives so why would we want you to make one up for us? you don’t know us or what we are like..well that’s what I think…but if you get someone to buy a SN from you…well than more power to you

No thank! 😉
July 29, 2003 at 11:23 pm #58345Jeff HesterKeymasterI think the point is that if you want a “basic” screen name such as those he mentioned, they’re harder to come by. Personally I wouldn’t buy one, but some people might. They’ve been reselling ICQ accounts for a long time on eBay. For some people, it’s a sign of status to have a low-digit ICQ number.
July 30, 2003 at 6:46 pm #58360Spawn11Memberi also agree with someguy03………why would u want 2 buy a sn if u can always get it 4 free.
July 30, 2003 at 8:00 pm #58362M@MemberYou know all you people are not thinking clearly. I mean seriously, you guys (besides Jeff) must think snSeLLer is like the stupidest guy in the world. All of you people are being ignorant. Of course he knows that you can get one for free! Just stop being so blind and look at what he’s offering though. I’m sure you’ve all seen people with screenames that are ridiculously long; a sn followed by a buncha numbers, like girl48576 or frat658 or nova9857678. Why couldn’t they just pick “girl” or “frat” or” “nova”? That’s cuz those very simple sn’s we’d all like to have are already taken. I know cuz I had this problem when going for my AIM screenname. I had to true like a hundred times just to pick a sn out. Now, I know I mgiht sound kinda sad for actually wanting a sn that doesnt have a buncha numbers following it, but I know theres plenty of people out there that wouldn’t mind having a smaller sn. So that’s why this guy is selling these really “simple” sn’s like “ddr”. Because as far as I know, if you wanted to get a screename like ddr right now, you’d probably only get as close to getting ddr5678 or something.
July 30, 2003 at 8:45 pm #58344Jeff HesterKeymasterTo elaborate for the uninformed, ICQ uses numbers instead of screenames. They have issued over 120 million UINs so far. 120000000 = 9 digit UINs. The older ICQ users have fewer digits in their UIN. Mine has seven digits. Six digits UINs are really hard to come by, and coveted by many. How coveted? So much so that a cottage industry has sprung up to resell ICQ accounts! Don’t believe me? Check out http://www.vipuins.com and you’ll find ICQ UINs for sale for $200 or more!
This reminds me a lot of domain name reselling. It used to be popular to register a bunch of cool-sounding domain names with no intention of ever starting a web site… simply to resell them to someone who really wants that name. There are also sites such as http://www.afternic.com that act as a broker to resell registered domain names. Of course, if you want a simple domain name today, good luck! Practically all of the real words have been snapped up. When I registered BigBlueBall a few years ago, it was one of the better ones I could come up with that was still available.
Maybe we’re seeing a repeat of this trend with screen names? I mean, it would be cool to have a screen name like BillGates, Thor, DeadHead or something else simple and memorable, wouldn’t it?
July 30, 2003 at 9:39 pm #58349BrianMemberI agree it’d be so cool if you could get screen names without numbers you want. I have three ICQ numbers with only six-digit in the lows 100’s that I have since ICQ first introduced to the cyber-world in the mid-1990’s.
July 30, 2003 at 9:49 pm #58358MWCchic8MemberWith the economy the way it is, it is seems trivial to buy something like a sn when it is totally free. I also understand the whole simpler sn thing as well.
July 30, 2003 at 10:26 pm #58364VenommanMemberI think that it would be easier to have an sn like ddr, but why buy it?!?! You can create one and put it on auto-login so you don’t have to remember ddr15246546654. That’s what they created auto-login for….. convenience!
July 30, 2003 at 10:50 pm #58370NARHDDMemberI agree with M@ you guys are all being foolish. Do you think SNSeller is oblivious to the fact that you can Register SNs for free. Do you think he went out and bought these Sns that he has a misconception of the situation? Hes selling you something that YOU WONT FIND ANYWHERE ELSE! Why? Look at some of the SNs he’s selling, these are unique one of a kind SNs that were registered ages ago and you won’t ever get anything close unless you have a serious of numbers behind. This is just like people who hack the 6 figure ICQ #s. Why? Because Its for show and its easy to remember.
