That’s just a rumor, it shouldn’t go through just yet.
For the revolution you’re gonna see a lot more M rated games as the demand for games to be more mature games as the new controller adds a new style for fps games, which I’m not really fond of. Gonna be world war 2198718.5 but in the 1940’s.

I will NOT pay THAT much. I would also like to find out the price for Nintendo’s games. Anyone know? Your views? At first I thought $60 dollars is a bit of a longshot, but now I wouldn’t be surprised if it will be $60 a game for the PS3. If I remember correctly, a lot of the games for the Xbox 360 are around $50. 😮December 2, 2005 at 10:57 pm #133188EEDOKMemberI’m gonna point out about right now I remember paying $80 for Super Mario RPG when it first came out, so $60 a game is just going back to the way it used to be.

Here’s the basic breakdown:
PS3: Same old sh*t, better graphics. Doesn’t really offer anything totally new or exciting, and it’s ridiculously expensive. Some developers are turning away from this system because it sucks to develope for. PS3 will probably still have a few good games however, but not that many, just as PSP barely has any good games.
Best for: Graphics whores, rich punks.Xbox 360: Same sh*t, better graphics. Fortunately, more devs are switching to Xbox 360 because the PS3 is an absolute pain to develope for. the original Xbox didn’t have a lot of good games, maybe that will change now. Also, it has strong online support.
Best for: People who still want a traditional gaming experience but do not want to pay a higher price for the PS3.Wii:Same sh*t, slightly better graphics and a totally new and exciting way to play. Much less expensive than the others, has the most exclusive third-party titles, not to mention Nintendo’s high-quality first party titles. Free online support, backwards compatible with over 20 years of gaming. Nintendo’s nice, refreshing way of being innovative and focusing on GAMING, not just creating another PC for the living room. Incredibly small.
Best for: People of all ages who want something more affordable, and something that’s much more fun. A winning situation.Winner: Wii. I believe Xbox 360 will also continue to own a large chunk of the market share too.
I am a bit dissapointed in Sony, however. The PSX dominated. The PS2 dominated. And now, Sony is just idiotic if they think the same people who bought the affordable PS2 are going to shell out over half a grand for a PS3. Since it’s predecessors were so popular, the only reason why the PS3 would sell good is because of the Playstation name. Not the graphics.
Then again, contrary to popular belief, the PS3 isn’t really much more powerful than the 360 at all. Especially in a developer’s eyes, they are both generally the same in terms of power.
As another sidenote, I finally got a chance to play the Wii the other day. Excite Truck is awesome. 🙂 It’s also cool to use the Wii remote as a pointer to move the on-screen cursor, rather than selecting menus with a joystick. It’s more like using a PC mouse.
November 16, 2006 at 2:33 pm #133177Jeff HesterKeymasterAfter having played with the Wii, I’ve decided that’s the console I’m going to get. Plus it’s way cheaper than the competition. I rather not have to put a loan on my home to be able to afford the PS3.
November 16, 2006 at 6:32 pm #133183OreoMemberHee hee hee…I was also reading yesterday, that despite earlier reports the PS3 is not backwards compatible and some of the older games play all screwy…but it WILL have blueray capability….let’s just hope that’s the format that wins out…or that will also hurt PS3
November 27, 2006 at 1:30 pm #133178Jeff HesterKeymasterWell I bought a Wii and I am not disappointed in any way. At first it does feel a bit silly moving around waving your arms (for Wii Sports) but once you get past that it really is fun. I took it to my parents place and they got into it. I was shocked! My parents….playing video games! *faints* hehe.
November 30, 2006 at 1:44 pm #133185OreoMemberWell it seems that the Wii is quite a dangerous weapon in the the wrong hands…according to this article.
November 30, 2006 at 3:15 pm #133179Jeff HesterKeymasterI understand that could happen but honestly, the motion sensing doesn’t require for you to do such exaggerated movements that you’d send the controller flying. I have the game it came with, the Wii sports, and I play just fine with it even when pretending to swing the remote like a bat, or swinging it like a golf club or tennis racket. People just need to realize the motion sensing doesn’t require you to throw yourself across the room with the remote. heh
