Just starting up a new topic out of the sheer bordom of the night.
Just wondering how many people have been to live concert show(s), and if so who. If you have been to more than a bunch like me, Just tell us who you think put on the best show out of all of them.
So here goes, I have been to about… 23 concerts, and I have 7 lined up for this summer. I have to say my Top 5 concerts would be
1. Neil Diamond (Yea, I know most of your parents prolly listen to Neil, but man did he know how to put on a show)
2. Korn
3.Stone Temple Pilots
4.Disturbed
5.MetallicaI know I listen to a weird mix of music 😀
March 20, 2003 at 10:18 am #97544AnnaParticipantWell – I’m heading out to the Brandon Jazz Festival for this (sorta) weekend. Does that count? 😀

March 21, 2003 at 8:17 am #97550PhilMemberI went to the see the Ozzfest when it was in Milton Keynes (my home town) in 2001…now that was AMAZING!! you know the annoying thing though, Metallica actually played here in 1998 but i didn’t know of them back then coz I was incredibly deprived! so i missed out and i seriously hope that they come back once the new album is released.
On March 2nd i went to see Feeder and that was really cool….wicked atmosphere! most likely going to the Reading festival in August! only because Metallica are playing lol, and rumours have it, Iron Maiden might be playing as well!! I don’t think it can get much better!
I haven’t been to many concerts but I need to change that!! It’s all about the money though….the money that I don’t have!

I am set to go to Ozzfest this year… Aug. 5th. I can’t wait, we are in the pit for the concert so I guess I can expect not to move the following days after that.
As for Metallica, I am really excited to see them again on July 12th. They are touring this summer with Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Deftones, and Mudvayne… But I think Ozzfest will take the cake this summer 😎
March 21, 2003 at 7:31 pm #97549PhilMemberShame they arent coming to the UK for a while…if at all….im sure they will!!
April 17, 2003 at 10:04 am #97551sweetkissesMemberMy gosh… Phil, ya went to see Feeder?? I wanna see them but tickets were sold out *sigh* Guess I’ll have to wait till next time. I’m gonna go see Lifehouse in Sepetmber (well, I was suppose to see them last nite but they’ve prostponed it!!! )
April 17, 2003 at 1:00 pm #97541Jeff HesterKeymasterMy first live concert was the Ramones. Purely democratic music, by which I mean that anyone with a guitar and knowledge of three chords could play along at home. Still hard not to tap your toes to “I Wanna Be Sedated” or “Beat on the Brat.”
Over the years I’ve seen Kansas, Heart, Sting, Dizzy Gillespie, The Who, and a few other less memorable bands.
I would have liked to see Genesis back in the early ’70s, when Peter Gabriel was still the frontman and their concerts were theatrical events. But that was just a few years before my time.
One of my favorite bands to see, however, was a little-known blues band by the name of Johnny Rocket. I saw them several times in a gritty little dive in San Francisco called Grant & Green. Really small, really packed. The band on a small 12″ platform, just a few scattered tables and chairs… most people just dancing and absolutely losing themselves to the music. Now that was fun!
