Nobody said you couldn’t have a discussion about who owns JDennis. I just said it doesn’t matter. Feel free to talk about things that don’t matter. 😀

That is true, and it’s ok. But what Fanatic said was right — who owns DeadAIM isn’t relevant to the original topic about serial numbers.

MemberI know. I dunno I was kind of interested as to whether anyone would come up with any hard proof confirming or denying. I guess I’ll shut up though.

I actually tried that a few days ago. Topic was deleted. But I did ask a new moderator and she said that Deadaim and AOL are “friends” but their “relationship” details are not public.

ParticipantJust to clear all this up:
I am a member at the DeadAIM forums, and am there all the time…So…AOL and DeadAIM have some sort of parnership. Basically, If Jim (the DeadAIM programmer) wroks for AOL, he can keep his program.
You can see Jims handy work in the AIM Notifications that came out in AIM 5.5.X versions.
Jim also gets an AIM sorce code, and thats why DeadAIM works so well with AIM. Another perk of working for AOL.
Hope that clears it up.
