MemberWhen did it give you this message? During login, opening an IM window…???
Did you at least search for previous answers to this question?
Cmon man, some initiative is needed to find answers. Google is always a great resource tool as well.

Participantnot to be rude DB, but none of those threads actually give an answer. They are all either empty questions, or redirects to the same threads [:O] (Faizan ¬_¬)
Do as it says, and wait it out. Give it some time. If it still doesn’t work say in a 2-5 hour span, then come back and tell us, and we can search for more possible solutions.

Participantyeah you are right .. they all redirect to the same threads…

and im using windows ME…..
the error code is still the same …April 28, 2004 at 9:27 pm #80488DangerBoy
MemberWell, judging by the fact that nobody returns after asking their question about it, your best bet is to wait it out. It looks like the problem just goes away on its own. If you can’t sign in tommorrow, get back to us.

ParticipantWhat version are you using now aLee? I’d reinstall 6.2 as it should be your best bet connecting. Do you have any firewall software running? If so, try disabling it when you try to connect.

Participanthi SHIFTER, I have re installed 6.2 many times but no use …
i aint running any type of firewall not even an antivirus or anti trojan,
im using win ME, whats the problem though ?April 29, 2004 at 10:05 pm #80490DangerBoy
MemberIsn’t the problem that you can’t login? [:P]
I don’t think there’s any cut and dry solution to this one aLee. One idea left though. Can you login to any other accounts on that computer? Create a new passport id and try it out.

MemberIt doesn’t really matter now that you can connect, however it could have been many things.
It could have been MSN server related (mostly likely), or some incorrect configuration or error on your pc. I can’t figure out what effect an ISP would have, unless they block any ports which are needed by MSN, which is highly unlikely.
On one hand, since you got the message “pc is ok and I must sign in later” from the troubleshooter, i’d assume that it was a connectivity problem from the MSN servers.
On the other hand, since it took so long to connect and did so only after a format and reinstallation, it may have been some wierd pc issue. One last thing, is it common to change ISP within 24hours? lol
