try using the command line
-width640
Forces the game to run at 640×480.with the Halo shortcut. You should be able to run the game according to Intel’s support site if you have the latest drivers installed
January 30, 2005 at 3:59 am #113178DavidParticipantYou may also want to check that you are indeed running DirectX 9.0c. (Start > Run > dxdiag)

January 30, 2005 at 6:16 pm #113191DrBroccoliParticipantOK so I have no clue about the “unique settings” and all my graphic card drivers are updated and I am running 9.0c and I have no clue where or how to do the -width640
January 30, 2005 at 6:42 pm #113192DrBroccoliParticipantwell heres an update, now it just opens to a blank screen but I do hear the sounds, before I heard no sounds

How to use command line switches:
- Right click on the Halo shortcut and select properties
- There is a box that says target field and there will be something similar to “C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesHalohalo.exe” which would need to be changed to “C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesHalohalo.exe”–width640
- Note that the command line switches are outside of the quotes and you can add as many as you like.
When I speak of unique settings I ment right clicking on your desktop > Properties >> click the “settings” tab >>> and then click advanced.
As an example, heres mine: (And by the way, did you see my private message to you?)
