ok just so the info is known….
YMSG serverside boots (like the current confDecline and confMessage boots) will boot ALL YMSG connections, (yup including Y Tunnel and JAM) – the reason? they are SERVERSIDE!!! which means the ‘boot’ goes from ‘booter’ to ‘server’ and then ‘server’ boots ‘target’, nothing the target can do, a few attempts have been made by various clients to defeat this, suck as booting the booter back (hopefully) before they boot you :-s (personally i believe the logic behind this is slightly flawed but hey…)
What can we do? use another protocol, use YCHT, use Chat2
The downside? YCHT and Chat2 dont allow some contact management (and all protocols have chat ‘issues’)Best option? everyone sleep with the guy/gal at yahoo that can kick the appropriate ppl into fixing this problem, it really shouldnt take that long 😉
