“Bushwick” It is not a good Idea to post your IP adress on a forum, people could do the wrong thing with it. In fact, because you said “come find me” I actually did, I found where you live, you phone number and you ISP, along with many other things, all through a simple whois database. I suggest that you don’t do this again
127.0.1 isnt his ip address, its the address that loops back to your own computer. He could be sitting at any computer on the net.

No it isn’t. 127.0.0.1 is.
What is 127.0.0.1 or localhost?
This is a special IP that on all computers means “loopback”. When accessing the special http://127.0.0.1/ or http://localhost/, your computer does a loopback and expects a response from itself. If you happen to have a web server loaded on the same computer, the server will be invoked from the request and it will send the response expected. In other words, if you access 127.0.0.1 from a computer, that computer will always make a connection with itself.
Meanwhile, an IP always consists of four digits seperated by numbers. 127.0.1 is not a valid IP.
By the way, Spawn11, it’s funny how you replied to a topic almost one year (!) later. 😉
