Go 2 Windows Task Manager, Processes, End IM-svr.exe, find more there IM-svr.exe, end it, okay
then Go 2 Search, Type IM-svr, ad delete it…
It gone, it give u A PEACE… lol

when i googled im-names i came up with this site http://www.abika.com/ it claims to be able to trace various sources of messages eg email , im etc – can anyone tell me if it is a genuine resource for the inet paranoid or another form of spyware/virus type app ? thanks ! ps i have a list of 40 of these sites now downloaded in pdf form from here http://blog.xavier.ashe.com/blog/Privacy
has anyone got any experience -good or bad – with any of them are they to be recommended or avoided ? thanks !i used the Moveonboot tool to get rid of im-names and it worked yey i recomend this to anyone who is haveing trouble with removeing im-names or anything else :woot: 😀

Marilyn I Am Having The Same Problem As You Are.i Want To Uninstall Im-names But In My Documents It Will Not Let Me Delete It,it Says Something About The Server.i Uninstalled It From My Control Where It Said To Remove2 Search But I Can-not Delete It It Says Something About Server I Am Very Frustrated And Whenever I Go To Chat With Some-one It Seems To Always Pop Up In The Window.if You Succeeded Please Help Me I Am Very Desperate.thanks Sister
i finally found out how to get rid of im-names go to start then to programs click onto accessories go to system tools click onto system restore and click onto the day before it was downloaded then go to where you have it installed and delete it.believe me it works finally it will restore your programs but make sure all your programs running are closed

I FOUND AN ABSOLUTE WAY OF GETTING RID OF IM-NAME!! AND IT WORKS FOR EVERYONE!!Step 1: Press Control Alternate Delete and go to the PROCESSES Tab on top.
Step 2: Look for the name of the IM-NAME. It should be something like IMNAME.eve or something like that.
Step 3: Press End Process AND YOUR DONE!!! ITS GONE FOREVER
Pls Note: You can now delete the file and folder in your hard drive!!

now i have got im names on my msn when i am on a big convo it keeps sending it automatically every 1 second and coz of this everyone blocks me and i have no one to talk to
