Wow, I didn’t realize there was such an issue.
Dave & Detn8r, you guys need to call a truce. Forget who started what and who did what back and just move on. We need to be a team, not opponents. Let it go!
As for the tech talk, as long as it isn’t non-stop I don’t see a problem with it personally. I don’t like the idea of censoring conversations to much. We need more basic guidelines such as: No Dirty talk, keep cursing to a minimum, no piracy talk, and so on. I would hate to make the IRC channel too strict as it is a more relaxed place to hang out. We have enough rules in the forums, I’d prefer to have the chat much looser and easy going. But not to the point of chatters being scared off or feeling unwelcome.
The chat room is for chillin, not illin. 😉

I don’t see a problem with it. Piracy, that it self is obvious. Oh and dirty talk.. censoring that is pointless as, every time -something- dirty arises it’s only in humor.
But.. Considering I am not a chanop, I obviously cannot K OR B ;). But even with that said, the promise is with me that it will not happen once more with the chance of me being in charge of the room.
— now excuse me while I wait on hold with my mobile phone company 🙂

I agree (other than geek talk, I’ll keep that to a minimum) – we shouldn’t need to censor anything unless it’s insanely inappropriate or someone is offended.
