I don’t know how many of you have been following this case, but I’m curious to see how many of you think he’s going to get acquitted. I think he might, just because he’s who he is? Any thoughts on this?
June 11, 2005 at 4:19 am #124035QwertyMemberI havn’t been following it too closely.
I think if he is acquited, it will be on the basis of that kid acusing him is a fraudster.
I don’t know what will happen though. I don’t really care.
June 11, 2005 at 11:54 am #124056MrOatsMemberI haven’t been following it too closey either, but yes, I think he will.
June 11, 2005 at 8:22 pm #124045gossipingraeMemberI don’t know if he will be charged on the larger-scale crimes, but they have found over 350 pieces of evidence in his Neverland Ranch that leads many to believe that he IS guilty. He may be charged with some smaller crimes. Who really knows, though?
Don’t parents know not to leave their kids with Michael Jackson? I mean come on, seriously!! How stupid parents are these days, it is really ridiculous.
And if I were Wacko Jacko, I wouldn’t even put myself into that situation. I would hire a body guard to be with me at all times, so they knew that I would be accounted for. If MJ didn’t put himself into these positions with kids, maybe he wouldn’t be on trial for child molestation. Again.
June 12, 2005 at 4:07 am #124027mariettelarkinMemberAs much as I believe he is guilty, I really think he is going to get away with it. I think people need to wake up and give him what he deserves…come on, what forty something person has kids sleeping in his bed with him and then says its in all innocence. I think this is a sick person and he needs to be punished and I think all the parents that let their children go there need to have their heads examined big time! Its just a shame that poor Martha Stewart (and believe me, I’m not a big Martha fan) got punished for a lesser crime and this guy will probably walk for just being who he is.
June 12, 2005 at 5:54 am #124057m3rcyMemberhe himself dosn’t even know what hes thinking.
i say he needs to be put into a home or ward.being guilty or not? im expecting anything.

He is wacko. Any other person i would say yep, sleeping with kids. Pedeophile. But MJ is so strange i seriously would belive it was all in good nature. When I was young, I slept in the same bed as my mates at sleepovers occasionallyy. I serously think mj meant no harm by it. It was a sleepover, thats all.And Martha was in the wrong, she desvered jail.
June 12, 2005 at 11:59 am #124042amy_d_gParticipantWell, I really don’t know if he is a pedophile or not. Like Qwerty, I could believe that it was all innocent, just because he is wacko. Or maybe not. As for whether he will be convicted or not, it’s a tough call. I know there were some inconsistincies in the boy’s story, and the family has kind of a shady history as far as trying make up stories to win settlements. I’m kind of expecting a not guilty verdict.
Rae, you’re right… I don’t see why anyone would leave a child with him. I have two little boys, and there’s no way I would leave them (let alone have a sleepover!) with someone that has been accused of anything like he has, even though nothing has been proven.
June 12, 2005 at 12:07 pm #124037QwertyMemberFurthermore, there is reasonable doubt in relation to the boy’s dodgy history.
For that reason, i would bet on him being aquitted.
June 12, 2005 at 3:35 pm #124028sciencefeelingMemberWell, I have no doubt he is strange. And guilty or innocnet, he is plain stupid, and his councelors too. But aside from that. The parents of this kid, got money from MJ and even help with business, they allowed him to sleep over with their kid, because they wanted him to help them out with money….what moral authority do they hold to fill a lawsuit? If their kid suffered abuse, they are very much responsible for that, and, in my opinion, they should get charged for disatending their kid, and basically sell him and use their own son to make money.
And I don´t really think is coincidental that just when MJ stoped supporting daddy´s businesses, they filled the lawsuit, while before they allowed a man to sleep in the same bed with their son!!
I very much think he is guilty, if you ask me, but I also think the parents, in this case, new about it, and should loose custody over the kid, before the kid gets any money.I know there is more than one lawsuit, but this one is particularly obvious that the parents are responsible for it.

June 13, 2005 at 10:35 am #124038QwertyMemberWait. So this is only in the civil courts atm? He won’t go to jail if hes convicted?
June 13, 2005 at 9:28 pm #124052NessaParticipantVerdict is in…Not Guilty.
And to Qwerty, IF he had been found Guilty, he would have gone to jail for a couple of years. I don’t think it was a civil case, more of a criminal one.
June 13, 2005 at 9:42 pm #124025Jeff HesterKeymasterSad day, although personally I would hold the victim’s parents just as culpable as Jackson.
June 14, 2005 at 12:46 am #124024Jeff HesterKeymasterWell I’m not surprised they found him innocent. I’m sure he’ll be back in court again though.
June 14, 2005 at 2:59 am #124029OreoMemberIt makes me think that the mother sent him to the ranch for the exact reason TO get molested. She ruined THIS case and any other case for any kids he may have actually molested AND for other kids who have been molested by other sick people. Some people are just in things for the money… Perhaps he was not guilty in THIS case…but it does not mean he is completely innocent of EVER doing it.
