How long do you allow for connection?
What speed is your connection?
What other applications are also running?
What speed is your processor?
How much RAM do you have?
What is your computer experience level? novice? beginner? Knows a little? intermediate? experienced? expert?.

Memberhello, I don’t know jack about computers.
I have the same problem as the above (as well as hundreds of other kazaa users across the net aparently).
I have dial-up AOL, no firewalls. the bottom bar says: “connecting…” for hours without connecting. I sent KaZaA desktop to the recycle bin and downloaded it again, but I couldn’t connect to the network to install it so I restored the old one, then (upon the advice from another forum) I downloaded and sucessfully installed Kazaa lite… it still won’t connect. please help. feel free to e-mail.April 17, 2003 at 3:34 pm #100386opee5230

You problem, OK, one of your problems is you now have numerous spyware applications running on your computer each looking to ‘dial home’ n effectively clogging up your connection.
Advise to remove spyware is given elsewhere in this forum.Quote:quote:no other applications are runningI question this statement, how are you so sure? My guess is theres quite a few running apps, refer above.
Quote:quote:ram?: not sure– but plenty.“Plenty” = 32? 56? 128? 560? 1280? more or less? ‘Plenty’ to you may be below minimum to me.
