I’ve tried many clients and when one will let you in quick one hour it won’t the next so again its just down to userbase on that server i would imagine.
It’s funny yahoo haven’t taken drastic enough steps to combat chat spam.
A simple botcha addition to the login would kill near all chatroom spam and thats just a minimal enough change, and seeing that they already have a somewhat similar system in their web logins and locked out accounts via ab.login.yahoo.com i can’t see why it can’t be implemented easy enough, specially for a multi million pound company like Yahoo!
A simple option in Messenger to Block urls vis PM would give a user the chance to block SPIM with one option, what really is holding them back?
Is a couple of days of coding these into the yahoo! infrastructure better than having to pay for new servers?
Who knows really, as yahoo! want to better your chat experience by making it worse.
