MemberIt’s 6am on Sunday morning, and I’ve been up all night getting things switched over. I *think* the basic functionality is working (knock on wood).
There are a lot of modifications that I have not been able to install yet, and there’s a lot of content that still needs to be updated on the “front end” of the site, but I need to get a bit of sleep.
In the meantime, please leave comments on anything you find that needs work, and post any bugs you uncover in the bug report forum.
And please, test, Test, TEST! Sleep deprivation does not make for good quality control. 😉

MemberLogging into Facebook doesn’t work. After attempting to log in with it, it then points to the http://blog.bigblueball.com domain with the session key. After refreshing the page (or going back to the homepage) the login is gone.

MemberThe “Read more on the BigBlue Blog” link on the front page points to the dead http://blog.bigblueball.com/blog/ instead of http://www.bigblueball.com/blog/

MemberAnd it looks like post emoticons on the forums are dead too. 🙁

MemberThe http://www.bigblueball.com/about/ link points to the old page.

MemberOh yes, the post dates are capped, e.g. YESTERDAY and TODAY instead of Yesterday and Today. Probably not a bug, but I’ll mention it anyways. 🙂

I thought I had killed the post icons a long time ago, disabling them in all forums. I don’t want’em. If you can tell me where you see any post icon “artifacts” let me know and I’ll go eliminate them.
Thanks Ven0m, for all the feedback! (reps up!)

I still need to tweak the styles (as you can probably tell).
I’m not sure yet if that’s something that’ll stay or change. It was not really intentional, but a side-effect of linking to the same CSS file used on the WordPress-powered part of the site.

MemberI meant actual emoticons (aka Smileys here) when posting a message within the message. Type a message-click the Go Advanced button, and you’ll see the smiley codes on the right of the text input area there with no smiley pictures-just the codes for them. 😉

MemberAlso the image under the About > Advertisement page is old and outdated. Shouldn’t it be updated to reflect the new style? 😉

MemberThis one is related to the Smiley issue kinda. If you put in a URL that doesn’t exist anymore (200, 404, etc.) the old pages are used to display the page error.
Example: https://bigblueball.com/forums/images/smilies/blue/w00t.gif

Actually, I see all the smileys! Here’s what I get when I click the link you gave (see attached).

Member=| I don’t at all. Error 200 here.
March 1, 2009 at 7:38 pm #173415imported_Ven0m
MemberOkay, found something else. The link to view staff activity found in here points to the smileys codes page found here (and yes, the smileys are still broken there).
P.S. Am I the only one getting error 200 when trying to see the smileys?
EDIT: Try clearing your cache (and you can go as far as flushing your DNS) and those smileys *may* not load up-instead you’ll just see the codes).

MemberOk, they must’ve been cached for me. I’ve copied the images up to the correct location on the server. Give it another try.
