I think this is nitpicking (Did I ever mention that I can be a nightmare for developers/webmasters because I always find stuff?) but I’ll just report every little thing I find. It’s fun because I like to go around clicking all links and checking how everything looks and works, so I’ll just post what I’ve found so far…
-There’s an extra dot before the Mod link at the bottom of the site-whether or not this is intentional, I don’t know. I’m just reporting it just because.
-The “Write for us” and “Report a site bug” areas on the footer below have no links associated to them. Probably intentional for the time being.

The copyright notice also looks like ****. Seems too crowded.
Also, the site is damn slow since the change.
-Probably could add a little space (5 pixels maybe?) on the bottom of the footer below the area that says Search Engine Friendly URLs by vBSEO 3.3.0 RC1 so the text doesn’t appear within the darker outline.
-The Privacy link https://bigblueball.com/privacy/ seems to be dead (especially the link to Privacy in the footer).

I checked, the misc.php file doesn’t seem to exist anymore-it points to faq.php now. I’m thinking this function may be gone. Oh yes…

Added a link for “report a site bug” that currently goes to the bug report forum. Not sure if this is best, as it does require a login, but it’ll do for now. Need to create the “write for us” page.

Well, I’m still tweaking things. It’ll get better but there have been a lot of gremlins in the code. In particular, there were a lot of links to things that didn’t exist, and your browser would keep looking and looking until it timed out. I’ve been slowly tracking them down by looking at the 404 errors generated and squashing them. I think I’ve got a pretty good handle on it, but we’ll see. Also, I have not optimzed the CSS yet, so the forums are going to be a little “heavy.” You’ll notice it most since you’re on dial-up. Be sure to enable caching in your browser. That will help.

EDIT: It’s just a typo in that link up there. Remove the extra character(s) on the end, and all is well. 😉
EDIT 2: The typo doesn’t exist on the home page RSS link, but in the forums it does. Possibly does in other sections of the site.
-The “Bookmark us on Delicious” and “BigBlueBall badges” text in the footer has no links associated with them (probably intentional for the time being).
-The “One Click Ban & Clean” against SPAM bots isn’t present because I suspect the mod hasn’t been added yet. :pP.S. You’re able to add alternate smiley codes to existing smileys, right? Would it be any hassle to add 😛 to the :p smiley since out of habit I use the uppercase P for it. 😉 Examples: 🙂 🙂

Yeah, I haven’t reinstalled hardly any mods yet. I need to squash the bugs before I start creating new ones. 🙂

Well I like the new look a lot, it’s like giving BBB a fresh coat of paint after all these years. Of course there will be bugs here and there, but with Jeff’s excellent pest control skills, that shouldn’t deter us from enjoying this new BBB.
