Laughs at Red Devil, my mega drive is nto broke….the fact that I don’t have one is irrelevant…..
And to stay on topic, I would say that the Mega Drive did have some excellent 2 player gaems, evn if I only played them occasionally 5 years ago and was completly rubbish at them…..
May 4, 2004 at 11:06 pm #80419Penguin HunterMemberYour Mega Drive hasn’t really broken, I’ve just swapped it with a completely empty one so that I could play on it, :mad:Muahahahahahahahahaaaaa!!!!!
:(I just wish I’d taken some of your games as well:eek:
May 5, 2004 at 6:18 pm #80404Red DevilMemberQuote:quote:Wrong, a modem was available for the mega drive, known as the mega modem. Its speed was 12.2Kbps. You could download games such as Sonic eraser and play some games online using it. If I can find a picture, ill post it later…
Now never try to outwit me in my Mega Drive knowledge again. You wont win…;)
[EDIT]
I couldnt find a very good pic but this site has sommething about it near the bottom of the article.

However, Genesis didn’t come out with high graphic games and games appealing for children. I think when Genesis came out, they were too aggressive and Nintendo just came out with kiddie games that were not only appealing to children but addictive to adults as well.
Overall, I still miss playing the game Sonic on game gear. It was cool because I could play it in the dark. 😀July 15, 2004 at 7:08 pm #80412AwesomeSauceParticipantI only like SNES and other systems made by Nintendo because they all have the classic mario games, and I’m more loyal to mario.
I guess most of the people in my area have nintendos, barely anyone had those strange little sega-dealies. Except for maybe one of my friends, and I’ve gotten a chance to see what the graphics look like on a sega, and the side-scrolling was cool.
Haven’t you ever heard of the NES? the NES was like a break-through in video games! that console rocks. 😀
July 15, 2004 at 11:45 pm #80409Red DevilMemberCourse ive heard of the NES. I agree, it was a breakthrough, but I barely got to play one. Might have to get some of the NES classics GBA re-releases that have started coming out. Especially Donkey Kong. That game is so addictive!
However, I still prefer my Mega Drive. The Mario games may be classic, but I much prefer Sonic. I liked the fact that all the characters had unique abilites and, of course, the amazing speed.
I recently managed to hunt down a Mega CD and a copy of the fairly rare game, Sonic CD. 70 levels and the first appearances of Amy and Metallix (Metal Sonic). Retro Heaven! 😀
