MemberHi poor Mike 🙁 🙂
I don’t think I’ve seen suggested here the web-based version of YM, here.
Seems to me if you try that (from any PC anywhere) then if IT accepts your ID/PW your problem MUST be related to your actual version of YM, and/or something else on your PC that conflicts with it.
But if the web-based one ALSO rejects ID/PW, then you know for certain it’s a problem with your Y! Account, and totally UNrelated to whichever version of YM you happen to have.
Hope that might help a little toward your eventual solution.

MemberThanks Eagle,
I tried the link and I was able to log on. No problem.
They even sent me a different version of YM, but that didn’t work either.
I’ve tried everything on my computer: disabled firewall, routerless, disabled anti-virus. As I wrote earlier, It worked fine, then one day, I had sign-in problems. I didn’t even know about the web-based version. What a treasure of knowledge you people are.;)
After 3 weeks, I still haven’t gotten the proper support from Yahoo. They keep thanking me for my patience.:woot: Go figure.
Thanks, I’ll still keep ya all informed.

MemberIt has been how long? and I still haven’t been able to fix my IM. Yahoo keeps sending me links in my e-mails I send them, but they don’t work.
I don’t think they will ever fix the problem. At least I’m not holding my breath anyways.

MemberHi again Mike.
Glad you can at least use the webbased version.I just stumbled on a possibly relevant course of action on another forum site, here.
I wonder if any of that might assist you ?(And also here’s a link to Yuna’s thread here on BBB, same subject)

MemberSorry little Kiwi,
No go. I’ve tried that before. I even erased the whole thing from my hard drive, cleared my register and everything, with no hint of Yahoo at all. Then I reinstalled it, and still nothing.
I keep e-mailing them and they keep replying telling me to try something else, or telling me to do something I’ve already done. (The merry-go-round route.) Now they said they are sending it to their “Production Team.” This is after they sent it to their “Engineering Staff.”
Does anyone there know what they are doing?
