Lol it’s almost 10 bucks to talk to them though.
Of course I clicked “I agree, call now” and there were no representatives available at the time..probably ’cause it’s 1:22 AM though 😀
Btw they aren’t hackers per say. Just umm…well they aren’t hackers. ‘Nuff said.
Thanks. Tried that and not much help. They gave me s**t saying that it is my responsibility to know and keep my info current and up to date even after i told them i was referred to them by yahoo customer service because they could compare my information with their historical info database. The “whoevers” who have my account changed all my info! So if they aren’t hackers, who are they, how can I get my account back from them?
They are usually just some teenagers who just try to get free Yahoo! ID’s to use as “bots” for their other programs or for other reasons I’m unsure of…sad isn’t it?
What I would first do is check the screen names’ profile to see if the person has put their email address in it instead of yours. That way you could just straight up write an email to them asking kindly for your ID back. If they offer a deal, like you giving them money, umm it’s definitly not worth it. Beyond simply trying to ask for it back I’m not sure what else to do since you spent 10 bucks just to hear some bs from Yahoo!. lol.
Congratulations!!! 🙂 This time be more careful in clicking links! 😉
Also, pay attention on the address bar when trying to log in into sa sign-in page, just like in yahoo.. Phishers nowadays are so good that they can make a fake log-in page looks like the “real” log-in page.
Its really a pain in the ass to depend on Yahoo! Customer Care, and really they just passes to us the responsibility of taking care of our accounts against those malicious acts, just becauseYahoo! is free lolz!:D
