I have added Procdaddy’s fix into our Msn Messenger FAQ as it seems to be helpful for many people expiriencing this issue 😉
I have the same problem as you all have. It started maybe 2 weeks ago.
I erased window live messenger and installed msn messenger 7.5 and that worked well. Web messenger works properly and I am able to check my emails. I do not get why other people are able to log into Live messenger from my computer but I can’t sign in with either one of my accounts!! I also tried the whole unistalling and re-installing thing but nothing seems to work.
When I do the regedit, HKey…thing that other members suggested, I find my software folder empty. what does that mean?
Also, as I try to sign in, I will not get any error messages. As I try to sign in ( in vain of course)…if someone emails me, I will actually get a popup saying that I have an email but I’m not actually connected to messenger.
I hate this because everything has been working fin until 2 weeks ago.I would appreciate any help I can get…remember, this whole computer thing is a little overated so please be very detailed…:)
