the more you know…
heh, exactly why i removed everything i possibly could from both, and why i refuse to post blogs about my personal life. if i do post something personal, it’s generally very vague so it only makes sense to people who basically already have an idea what’s going on. even on my own site, i try not to post much along the lines of personal blogs, what i refer to as “pudding posts” (this morning, i woke up and looked out my window and there was a BUNNY!! omg lolz! and then i had some pudding, and then johnny called!”)
if a prospective employer wants to check out my facebook or myspace profiles… go ahead. there’s nothing there, and what is there isn’t by any means incriminating or damning. what’s on my site is generally a lot of philosophical or theoretical questions and rants.
Quote:oh and sami: i have seen various myspace tshirts including one titled “YOU LOOKED BETTER ON MYSPACE”HAHA
gotta love “the angle shots”
May 20, 2006 at 4:56 am #141675gossipingraeMemberexactly tom! i took out some of my interests on facebook that include like alcohol and other various things.
i honestly don’t understand why people feel the need to post EVERY single detail. leave something to the imagination. for real.
oh, and here is another thing. my former friend (who is no longer my friend..i’ll tell you why in a minute) likes to make his blogs “funny” and decided to write a piece about me. basically this kid made me look really stupid. the thing is, this kid is not the brightest crayon in the box…took my words and rearranged them to not only be false, but make me look ridiculous.
i think perhaps myspace was created for others to find lost friends. isn’t that their tagline: THE PLACE FOR FRIENDS?
*rolls eyes*
May 20, 2006 at 6:58 pm #141669RabidKittenParticipant*chuckles* See, now that’s the ordeal, I really couldn’t care less about posting details and such and so forth at least in my blog. Most of it is stuff I’d just about tell anyone, if only asked, so really, meh if an employer wants to nitpick, so be it. *stretch, yawn* I’m sure I come off as so much more charming than usual anyway *snort, cackle* Especially my “Party when they die” List. Heheheh…Though I’m not reliable in my posts and only do so when one thing in particular stands out. *shrug* Meh, to each their own, though it is creepy when you get the blogs talking about every neurotic detail. I once heard there was a guy who actually did write every detail of his life down for years…record book material. Creepy if you ask me *shudder*
Oh god…yeah the pictures section. Makes my eyeballs bleed. If I see one crazy angle or mirror picture, I’m going to have to harm something. *looks around* And it’ll probably be my sister’s lovebird/fischer mix. He’s loud and would make a lovely appetizer. What irritates me most is that my buddy Addy loves scanning through pictures and leaving little comments on girls’. I keep telling him that they’re never that nice in person…he tells me “I don’t yell at you for being a silver tongued devil woman, don’t yell at me for being a vanity slut” Oy vey…boys.
Pace for friends…right. Ugh, tell that to the friend whores. Yeah…I add the folks I know. If I don’t know you, you’re not there. *shrug* And really, sometimes it’s kinda nice to get a goofy ass comment or picture from my best friend, who just moved up to the cities about six months ago. Makes me feel all specialish *cackles, hick laugh*

so i don’t.

That reminds me of when they’d do “Dear Blog” kinda stuff on the Tech TV show ‘unscrewed’. I loved it, finding the most inaine little blogs and reading them in the dreamiest voice ever. All the “LOL” and “OMG” phonetically sounded out. Ah yes… *sigh* Lovely.
“OMG taht was tottally gr8! Lyke, u kno?!?!?!?!!?/!1/eleventy!!1?/ LOL”
*died on the inside from that… …throws up a little blood* Dear god! *wide eyed* …I really did!
