(ok, now I’m kidding)Oh sweetie – are you sure you’re from Iowa? Corn meal is indeed made from corn. It’s flour ground from dried maize (corn), and is a common staple food in many regions of the world. Sort of a granular, coarse flour. Check Wikipedia’s discussion of the subject: corn meal
You can make corn bread (which is so good with chili); sprinkle it on your pizza pan to keep the pizza from sticking; make hush puppies out of it (sort of a fried corn bread); it’s what grits is. If you’re ever over our way, I’ll make a batch of corn bread for you – you’ll love it! And when you travel to the south, make sure to have a bowl of grits to start your day. I suggest putting lots of butter and salt on it though.
And of course, you know what oatmeal is . . . don’t you?

and I know that it sounds weird coming from an Iowan, but I really don’t like corn that much. 😀 weird… maybe I’m just an oddball Iowan.

GRahamI’ve always wondered about “officially” switching over to coangr, but too many people know me as detn8r, so I didn’t think it would be appropriate. What do YOU think?
I know you as sorta both I guess, mostly as detn8r though. I think maybe for new accounts you make switch to coangr, but don’t change your BBB account since that would confuse some people…although you do have that avatar which would surely set them straight. I know, didn’t help much, but my point was pretty much I don’t think it would be that hard of a transition over, so if you get a feeling like you want to, go for it.
