A new beta was released today.
DeadAIM 4.5 currently looks to NOT work very well with it.

The IM window would not be so bad if they took out the Games Express and the little thing at the right side of the IM window.. All I have to say is, 1 more version of Aim And more junk smashed in it
My God that interface looks hideous. The button thing on the right makes me wonder whether or not AIM is going to start looking like the Instant Messenger in AOL. (AOL messenger has that exact thing on the IM window) Looks like the final nail in the coffin to me…
Dave is right, this is the end. But, us AIM modders are still here, and will do our best to provide users with quality software. 😉
**** that. I’m sticking with 5.5. I mean unless something important is added (You got pictures? Aim – Aol user connection thingy? who cares?) I’m not gonna upgrade. I mean that’s uglier than my ass on a thursday afternoon.
Could someone that installed this excuse for an IM client please tell me what the thing on the right is? =)
We can only wonder what the heck will be in AIM 6.0…
Oh, and on a side note, where were 5.3, 5.4, 5.6, 5.7 and 5.8? Do they just choose version numbers and names that sound cool? (Oh, of course, AOL 9.0 OPTIMIZED)
Someone said there was a judicial issuing saying that they had to slow down. That’s why its been two years since 5.0 came out.

AOL needs to fire their whole programming team, right now. Why can’t they ever be normal?
Everything in that drop box is useless. But it won’t be impossible to ResHack it out.

How about the profile window? Was that reformatted too?
wow, that was a good laugh. I downloaded it just for laughs and to get screenshots. MANY a buttons were added. maybe 1 or 2 new features added. so theres pretty much NO new features, but many a buttons to go to old features. heres the new AIM Today Window:

sure thing, oh, and if anyone wants more screenshots of something, just ask, I still have the new version downloaded! the profile window is also a little different (a button is added) also. I forgot to mention that.
