Is it possible to turn those icons off and make the im window smaller? Besides reshacking I mean.

yes, they’re off by default, you turn them on or off by going to “usefull tools” or something like that

I can do these 2 things with 5.5.3590..I was talking 2 someone NOT IN MY BUDDY LIST and I opened my buddy list to see a RECENT BUDDIES LIST I said “What the hell is that???” I deleted the list
This new version just looks WAY OVER BLOATED and terrible……..I wont upgrade past 5.5.3590!!!! (Its digusting!!)

Thank god. The only reason I’m going to eventually upgrade is cause of that vulnerability.
i tested out the new aim sounds from the new aim expressions…and now im wondering how I can go back to deafault seeing as how I dont like any of the ones they allow you to test…someone please help.
cam, they weren’t talking about the aim buisness tools, they are talking about the extra buttons and how the buddy icons are laid out.
i also have a question though. My AIM doesn’t show that little slider button on the right side of the message window (as shown in the first post), what exactly is that used for?

I got the first version that came with the lil eye (invisible) thing and I’m sticking with it. Didn’t come with as much junk as these new releases are getting. Lately I’ve been thinking the A in AIM stands for Ad….I hope AIM dies now.
i take it no one is going to answer my question for page 1? I really need an answer ive had no luck trying to fix it!
ok sure no problem…what happened is I got the latest aim beta and I was testing the new aim expressions sounds that they allow you to test now the only problem is the last one I tested I cant get rid of and go back to the deafualt…quite frankly id like to have no sounds at all thats why I deleted my sounds foulder in aim…but how do I get it so the annoying new aim expressions sounds or gone…thanks in advance!
Hey that arrow button on the right of the IM is for people with aim expressions it shows the other persons if no1 already knew that. and I dont think you can go back to the default sounds i’ve been trying to do the same thing, I think this aim is a ripoff.. you can use superbuddy icons with it the ones that talk from AOL when full version comes out but ya gotta pay for em who wants to pay for icons thats bullcrap…

Yeah, I was talking about the IM window. So those two icons can’t be removed?
