AIM has a new Final…its 5.2.3281 u can find it here

For all the people having the font problem, download this version and it should help u. I downlaoded it and it fixed the font in my profile.

Thank you, I just needed to be sure because I didn’t know where the installer was.

Works fine – fixes the font bugs and only thing I had to do was repair DeadAIM4..

Ok where you said that all you have to do is repair DeadAIM 4.0 when you install the new AIM. Does that mean that you install the new AIM and then do you go to DeadAIM and somehow repair it…Im confuzzled…

ok, first install new Aim. Then go to start> programs> deadaim > repair…….It should put all the options back and it wont require your serial number again.

Be sure to exit AIM completely (Right click on the AIM Running Man in the System tray (Near the clock) and click “Exit.”), otherwise it wont work.

I am confused because I mean what is with all this 4.0 or 5.0 or 5.2 what does it all mean and where can u find out what type u have?

Uh, they are version numbers for AIM. 5.2 is the newest.

To find out what version you have:

About –> About AOL (R) Instant Messenger (TM)

A dialog box will come up.

It has another quite annoying bug though. In “Edit Options -> Edit Preferences -> Font” the window colour is always white no matter what colour I choose. My IM windows will have the right colour though, but in the Preferences it’s always just white. Anyone else notice this?

Yes, The colors are very confusing. Try messing around with them for awhile, eventually it works. Aim Has alot of font and color problems and only a few were fixed in this version.
