October 26, 2003 at 3:27 am #89154detn8rParticipanthaha… never thought I see the day when my computer was better than Jeff’s. Ah yes… the days of my p1, 32mb ram, 2.46hdd are over. [:P]
November 9, 2003 at 1:54 am #89163VinnyMemberMy akol gets a new set of comps every like 3 years
November 14, 2003 at 7:22 pm #89157DJHyperbyteMemberI’m sitting behind an AMD 266mhz now, running Windows 2000 Professional. Outside of my room stands my router, a Celeron 133mhz, running RedHat Linux 7.1. Left in front of me, my laptop. A Celeron 750mhz, running Windows 98 SE and Windows 2000 Professional dual-boot.
Now, to kick everyone’s butt when it’s about old PC’s (if I hadn’t already with my 133mhz :P)…
On the left, behind me… on my desk… stands… 7mhz, 1mb ram, running Workbench 1.3. Yes, I’m proud of it. My Amiga 500. ;D
And umm… let’s not start about my school please… 🙁
They have older ones (not in use anymore though). :'(November 14, 2003 at 8:13 pm #89162Leon-MemberEvery machine in our college are running Windows XP, apart from the servers which are Unix based. We also have a “mac block”, which is filled with Macintosh computers, but I’ve no idea of their age as I don’t use them. =)

February 28, 2004 at 11:44 pm #89160DavidParticipantThis poll doesn’t make sense.
Windows 2000 and Windows ME are completely different, 2K runs on the NT Kernel, and WinMe was the last of the 9X OS’s. Windows 3.1 and 3.11 were nearly the exact same thing, and there is no Windows OS called “Windows XP Server 2003”, There is Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, with the second being the Server edition of the XP Family.
Also you wouldn’t rate how old a computer is by the version of Windows it runs, I’ve had Win95 and WinNT3.51 on my 2.5GHz (OC’ed AMD)/1GB RAM box, and I wouldn’t consider that too old.

I’m sure we can all obvisiouly see the man messed up on his options. (coming around four months later doesn’t give your brownie points ;)) He seems to have just put choices together like 2000/ME, and XP/03 because he ran out of poll options.
As for the points, I believe I win those 😉

Oldest computer, or oldest OS?It still should have been 98/Me not 2K/Me. [:P]
Actually WinMe should not have existed on any planet, ever.
April 29, 2004 at 10:12 pm #89167sharpshooterMemberi was looking in the design/technology areas of the school and I found an ‘acorn’ computer, with a green screen and a floppy disk to start it, how old is that?
