KeymasterAs I’m implementing the new organization, there are a lot of usergroup changes happening.
Mentors should have access to this staff area, but do not have moderation permissions.
Advisors and Team Leaders have moderator permissions across the section(s) they are assigned to.
David, detn8r and Shifter currently have “global moderator” permissions, allowing them to step in and help in emergency situations (where the appropriate Advisor is not online and immediate action is required).
Please check your permissions and let me know if anything looks out of whack. I’m still setting things up with the “old” staff now, and will then be adding the new staff member permissions, so give me a few minutes to get things setup before you tell me how everything is broken, ok? 😉

Participantas martin said, i’m obviously able to see this forum, so that works. i suddenly noticed that now the ads in the threads appear for me, where before they didnt as a premier member. other than that, i’ll give you time to put the advisor powers into effect.

KeymasterAdvisor permissions should be working now within whatever section you are assigned. As for the ads, the problem is that the logic that determines whether or not to display the ad is based on your primary usergroup, which has now changed to either an Advisor or Mentor. I’ve got to edit the templates to turn them off for the new usergroups, and I’ll be doing that along with some new template changes this weekend.

KeymasterMy permissions are just as Martins. Everything is working fine and dandy. Great work you’re putting into the site Jeff. 🙂

Participantyep, my permissions are set and ready in the AIM forum. editing, deleting, and un-deleting? that should be about all i have, correct? i’m not even entirely sure what the new permissions include, so i wouldn’t know what would be missing if anything.

MemberThat sounds about right. But you should be able to move posts from one forum to another.

Participantok, but how? i dont see any kind of tools or links to do anything except edit individual posts.as Jeff mentioned in another topic, it might be a good idea to put up some kind of informational/educational page for those of us with no prior experience moderating/advising the boards.EDIT: never mind, either i’m completely blind or those tools weren’t available last time i tried. i see them all now.

ParticipantMy permissions are correct for my Assigned forums, but I do not currently have global permissions in any of the remaining forums.

ParticipantEverything seems to be working fine for me, except I don’t see an option to move a topic as Oreo said. Other than that it looks great!
