MemberWhenever I’m on AIM, it signs me off and on very quickly without me doing anything. When this happens while I’m talking to someone, I don’t get their messages and I don’t know if they get mine. Also, when I look at people’s profiles before it happens, it says “Please Wait…” in their profile and doesn’t do anything until AIM log me off without me doing anything or I log off myself. When I log of myself it fixes the problem until it happens again pretty soon. It’s getting really annoying and I would appreciate some help. Thank you.

Membermy friend has the same problem. I’ve written 2 topics about this and no one seems to know what causes it. It’s not a virus. I know that for sure.

MemberHey, I had the same problem. What I did was change the port number, and it worked for me.

MemberI changed the port number, but it still does it sometimes. It just takes longer. Is there a solution that can prevent it entirely?

MemberI tried those port numbers, but it still did it. I know it will do it because when I look at profiles, it says Please Wait… and won’t load. It does do it less frequently than before I changed the port number, but still does it 🙁 My online time is also screwed up when it logs me off then on. It says 20 minutes then it logs off and says 6 minutes, even though it just signed back on.

Memberwhenever I got my new dsl connection this happened… but what I did was go in internet explorer to Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > and checked Automatically detect settings.
