MemberI did reformat my computer. It did it before and after I reformatted it and AIM keeps logging off and on. It’s getting real annoying. Before this stuff started happening I could be on for days with no interuptions. There has to be something out there.

MemberThere has to be an explaination for it doing this. I’ve been switching the ports for like 3 days now and nothing bad has happened.. (I’m trying to make it sign on/off repeatedly so I can tell everyone how I made it do it)

MemberMy d-link router that I have now is a wireless router (i use it as a wired router now) but when I used my wireless usb adapter it never signed me on and off. I don’t think its because of wireless routers anymore. I used to.

MemberI have a Netgear FVS318 router. Could that be the problem?

ParticipantIt has to do with your internet connexion, NOT your router, and NOT your wireless access point.

I retract my previous statement.
What type or router do you have, what model number, and what version of firmware did you upgrade to?

MemberI am having the same problem with my linksys router. I have a question though….
On my old desk top, I had the same problem. I had an external linksys wireless adapter on that computer. On my new laptop from Dell, I have the Dell wireless card in my computer. Do I have to download the firmware on MY computer as well, or just the computer that the router is installed on?

Participanti had a defective wirless lynksys router that was causing me to sign on and off frequently. I finally had to get a brand new one.
