Hi I tried to download msn messenger 6.0 and it wont work i tried to delete it and re install in but now it say that i need the file msnmsgs.msi and that if i download msn messenger 5.0 it will have it when i tried to re download 5.0 it said that I already have msn 5.0 but I can’t seem to get in working if anyone knows anything that can help me can you please help me thanks
Make sure you remove msn from all folders in “my programs”. And if you have xp is suggested that you use add/remove programs instead of the uninstall that was bundled with the program.
To those who has the same problems as me(platform is windows xp):i think i know why i have problems with msn 6.0, i might have downloaded the msn 6.0 PREVIEW. can some one tell me the specific website to download msn 6.0(the one which i can use, not msn 6.0 PREVIEW) thxzzz….

The only reliable source for downloading MSN Messenger is the official MSN Messenger website.
but i am still having problems with msn 6.0 even after downloading msn 6.0 from the official MSN Messenger website. what’s is the problem?

i have the same problem i’m on xp, i tried to reinstall 6.0 but telling me i need msnmsgs.msi, can anyone help thanks.

any1 out there who has the same problem as me with msn 6, if u have solved it, pls tell me how to. PROBLEM: opens when it is clicked, last for a few seconds, after that disappears and the icon is on the taskbar, when going to put mouse over it to click it, it disappears. HELP! SUM1 OUT THERE! HELP!
today , my msn 6 could work, i played with it for a few hours, then , i tried to open windows msg, it opened but msn 6 just changed into the same problem again.
Please help:confused:! I get the same problem as everyone else – msn messenger opens, starts signing in ,then disappears to taskbar and when I hover over it,the icon disappears. Deleting the registry key and uninstalling/ reinstalling MSN seems to make no difference. A point to mention is that when I start MSN, Windows Installer starts, and while it is signing in to MSN, WIndows Installer cancels installation? Please can you help me if you can?
