when i get into C:documents and setting, the only folders in there are Administrator, All Users, and Owner. my username is timin and that’s not there. i checked in each of the three folders and there is no applicationdata folder in any of them…

Your User name i your Windows Logon, not your AOL Logon name. Look in the Owner folder. Application data is hidden.

Open an IE window and put this in the address bar:

C:documents and settingsownerapplicationdataaim
Then click your AOL screen name and find info.htm

Along the same lines, Is there any way to have a link in the profile without the underlined style? I have seen this done before..

Version 5.5 takes away the underline style of the links. So if u see a link without an underline, they are probably using version 5.5

i just upgraded to 5.5 and i’ve been editing the info.htm file since i’ve had 4.8. before, all it took for AIM to realize that the info.htm file had been updated was to put up an away message. now, with 5.5, even if I put up an away message, AIM doesn’t change my profile to match the one in the info.htm file.

does anyone know what you have to do?
