Im working on a way to block out that annoying advertisement in the bottom left hand corner
Ive put a tutorial at http://www.geocities.com/t_g_p2000FWIW, both are available on the web without adware and or spyware. The base code is the same, so they may be a lil faster In use while not carying the extra advert traffic.
As an alternative, one could run AdAware and or Spyblocker software and block the advert request at your computer.
I’ll visit your site tho, any effort to rid us of spyware is for a good cause.

You can also “close” KaZaA (don’t use Grokster so I can’t say about that). When KaZaA is closed (but not exited), it stays active, your downloads can continue, but you won’t get any pop-up ads.
Doesn’t require anything special. It’s a built-in feature of KaZaA.

BigBlueBall.comYeah, its true Jeff, you wont see the ads, but they are being requested from yr ‘puter, still being downloaded and stored for future presentation. One way or another, you are going to see those ads. Ouch

Ive found a better way of removing the adds just follow the instuctions at http://www.project-insomnia.com/grokster.html 🙂

I say just get Kazaa Lite, no adds, no spyware. Kazaa without all the crap!

Damn, this anti ad. upgrade path gets extremely boring at times.
Also, As Kazaa lite is a ‘rip’ of kazaa, does it have the built in (registry) restrictions of the Kazaa client it was ‘ripped’ from?

i have gotten viruses from Kazza and that is why I will not use it again. I use Imesh now and for some reason WINMX never works hehe.

Get a grip here, the fault lay at the feet of the scumbag that infects a file n puts it up for downloading. stick around buddy, the files with virus are also on iMesh, you just need a lil extra time to find them. rustedtight
