When I was in high school no classes had computers with internet connection. Only place was in the library and nobody went there except when doing reports. Funny thing is one time I was doing one on gun violence and I looked up guns and it blocked it for well…violence. Anyway that really does suck. BBB is cool. I’ve gotten a lot of questions answered here being the computer dummy that I am.

You block a feature and people are going to find a way around it. Legally or illegally. The problem I have faced is that the teachers are comparitively uncomfortable with computers. They think they think people come online in search of porn only. The do not understand that computers/the internet is one of the greatest learning tools ever created. I have teachers continuosly telling me that the web is all wrong do not use it, get a text book and read it. I feel that this is more of a case of mis-information or lack of knowledge. My computer science teacher once told me ctrl, alt del was not working, I was stunned because I had just used the comp. The he showed me he was trying to press “ctrl” “+” “alt” “+” “del” simultaneously. After that day I lost hope on my teachers

Along with “Educational Institutions,” which I found ironic while researching for an arts project. My God, Websense sucks, heck the school homepage was blocked at one point.
Oh and Dave, my computers at school don’t let me edit proxy settings, have already tried many times…doesn’t work.
What do you mean you can’t edit proxy settings? Do the proxys not work? Explain please…
