thanksJuly 1, 2003 at 2:13 pm #94047mariettelarkin
MemberWhat are you using to search? I have found that using the option in the messenger tool box does not always work. Try going to yahoo’s web site and do it through there, using the advanced functions. The url is http://members.yahoo.com/

MemberYahoo! is known to get its member statuses wrong. It proves hard for them to get this little feature correct, and it’s been like it for just about 3 years lol
It’s why I took my Yahoo! status out of my forum signature, it was always showing offline even when I was online.

MemberHi Freddy, I agree with u sometimes the status is not correct, but when i search yahoo members.yahoo.com for online users it displays 0 users are online. It is wrong because given point of time at least in this yahooworld some will be online…

MemberI have the exact same problem and more. The profile searches do not indicate anyone on line, in fact both the search and advanced functions do not show anyone on line. Keywords come up with nothing. ALSO, I cannot access any adult profiles…I keep getting kicked back to the log on for adult profile page. ALSO, I cannot access any yahoo adult group when I log on, I get the same log in page over and over. I can access yahoo email, but except for that yahoo has become very weird.
Any ideas?

I don’t think you can get rid of that. Yahoo wants to protect itself so its asking you for your id so it can verify your age.

what do you mean by repeatedly? What should happen is, you go there, it asks you once and then that’s it. Is it something different?

MemberWell I think Y! does this to every1!!!! This is just for the security purpose!!! I dont think there is any harm in it!!!! Also, if u want, u can save ur pwd and continue!!! atleast u dont have to type it…. but that will be an easy way to let those nasty hackers get ur info…. Also remeber this, bfor entering any info, just check the address bar…. the internet add shld be of Y! not even geocities

MemberIf you are wanting to find people who are online, check the box next to “View Only Online Profiles” and it will only give you members who are online. The member directory isn’t perfect but it is very useful to find people if you know how to use it. Also they just recently added a new feature, were if someone has a webcam or has ever used one it has a camera icon next to their username in a member search.
