Ah, now see? Those are good smilies, princeG. They match with the current ones exactly. The only thing I’d change is the text in the Happy Birthday one…you can’t read it! Other than that, though, I’m not opposed to adding those. There aren’t a gazillion of them, and they match with our current ones. Great job! 🙂
I understand a lot of people may not have high speed internet etc. and animated emot’s might pose a problem for them. Which is not good, or fair to them.
Given that this is a “public” forum and everyone should be able to see and read it’s contents, it may be best to stick with non animated smiley’s. Too many more smiley’s added to the list would make BBB look messy.
This whole thing arose out of a PM I was sending. I ran into (more than one) occasion for the emot I had asked about. I thought I could just use one of my own in a private message. Then I found out there was no way to just upload one of my own to use in a PM, just as you can upload an image to use as your personal avatar (?). It was more work to stick the emot in image shack, link to it, then it was to type out “bored zzzzz…”
I guess I was just hoping there would be more flexibility with the emot’s for PM’s than there is in the forums. Or, that the list of basic emot’s could be expanded to inculude a few more of the basics.
Is there a way to set up some kind of “upload’ for an image where it could be viewed in the PM then deleted along with (at the same time as) the PM?
I like the idea behind the smileypad, but you may end up with a huge number of different (and ugly) emot’s all over the forum. It would be best to have a static matched set of emot’s.

Now that’s more like it! I would love it if we’d add most of those! Personally, I just like the simple smiley ones, forget the signs and all that other crap :p, but I wouldn’t mind if we had them.

Nice! I was looking for vB smiles but couldn’t find any, so I ended up making some! You want me to put those in the smiler like I did with the others so it’s easy to add them to here? Or would you rather do it all yourself?

Like Jeff and det have said, I would sleep easier at night if they were hosted here on BBB rather than something like your site Ryan (no offense :p). Maybe we could wait until he gets around to adding them?

I think Spike is worried that something may happen to Eggy’s Smiler, and all the posts here containing those smilies will turn in to a bunch of red x’s.
Somehow, I don’t think MrEggsalad is going anywhere soon.
