Memberok, I sat down today and decided i want to bypass our firewall (it’s large company so proper firewall)
first off, we arent directly connected to the internet, need to go through a hub, second off most of the ip’s/hostnames are banned
so i grabbed amsn source (http://amsn.sourceforge.net probably the best alt msn ive seen) and activetcl (http://www.activestate.com/Products/ActiveTcl/) opened the proxy.tcl in amsn source, searched and replaced all gateway.messenger.hotmail.com with 207.46.110.18, used activetcl to run it, told it i was using a http-proxy and boom bypassed all.
all i can say is piece of piss this took me 15 mins to do max 🙂
Im going to set up a proxyfowarding on my apache server so if that msn ip gets banned as well im going to work though my own dedicated server to work as a proxy between me and msn server
this can be used similarly to connect to all services, if you want to connect to ssh for instance, portfoward to 443 instead of 22 (secure connection anyway so should always work), if you want on irc, setup a bnc to something similar.

MemberI have an old version of blackice 1.8.6.4 and messenger sometimes closes on me. Is the reason of blackice or not? I did not download the version from blackice homepage. I got this version from another web site about 4 years ago. I wrote to messenger and they told me I have to rebaseline it in order to stay on msn, but this version does not rebaseline it. This version is FREE for lifetime. Any suggestions what to do here in order to stay on messenger without closing?

Keymasterhi
I had problem with proxy and firewall to run programs like yahoo , icq , msn messenger, irc , emails on work
Now i m using http://www.surfnolimit.com
that s perfect !
You can access to all services and all websites !!! (like yahoo, msn messenger, icq…..with webcam and sound 🙂 )
You can also surf on restricted areas (like erotic website…) with internet explorer or mozilla firefox for example
Stream is crypted so your employers can’t know where u surf 🙂Trial period is free 2 days….but for my pat i m using it for month 🙂
that s good 🙂
