ParticipantNorton Internet Security 2005 is to blame for me. If I turn off the ad-blocking, it loads perfectly. It allows you to put in specific settings for individual sites, but it asks for an html string to permit or block. What do I put there?

Keymasterthe “networkbar” in the new layout seems to be the culprit. to fix this problem i added my own css to the page using Mozilla Firefox’s UserContent.css file. (other browsers may allow you to add your own css also)
Code:div#networkbar {
height:20px;
}
div#networkbar img{
display: none !important
}apparently the absolute positioning of the menu (nav-one) is a bad idea… especially if you remove the networkbar (and it’s ads) from the equation. to use this css open up (or create) your UserContent.css file which is located in your Firefox Profiles folder.
start>>run>>%appdata%mozillafirefoxprofiles
click on your profile (random.default)
go to folder “chrome”
create file UserContent.css (or open it, if it is there already)
add the above css (copy/paste)
restart firefox
apply the “new style”: https://bigblueball.com/forums/index.php?styleid=9screenshot: http://tinypic.com/5o5gt5
David: i use FilterSet.G (http://www.geocities.com/pierceive/adblock/), ’cause it blocks everything and the file really small because it uses regular expressions.

What do I put there?there is no definite answer because the code that generates the advertisements is inline.
the script:
Code:the tag makes you view the ad if you have disabled scripting. if you want to, you can disable scripting on your browser and add the below link to the “safe list” in Norton. This is a big hassle, it is a lot easier to add some css to “fix” the page after you removed all ads.

KeymasterThanks for the replys. I don’t really understand the rules behind the Firefox ad blocker plug-in that would block this image:
http://www.bigbluenetwork.com/images/BBN-Navbar-Logo.gif
but I understand why the rest are blocked (all inserted via Javascript).
Amy, I don’t really want you to change your ad-blocking settings at all, mainly because there are lots of people who run the same software. I prefer to solve the problem so that the menus display correctly for everyone. I appreciate your help in testing this.

KeymasterI’ve updated the CSS. If you’re having trouble with the navbar, refresh and see if everything lines up properly now.

ParticipantYou’ll probably need to Ctrl+F5 in Firefox to force the download of CSS. =)

Also, you should keep in mind that you can attach images to your posts. You don’t need to upload them to an image hosting service.

Did you try CTRL-F5 to force a reload of the CSS?Im using the Norton ad-blocker. And when when i make the window small and with the horizontal scroll bar I scroll right then I see the white corner again. -
