MemberI have the little clock radio in my room set to a classic rock station, 99.9 The Hawk. Currently playing is “Share the Land” by The Guess Who. I love this kind of music! It gives me a break when I'm sick of listening to all the junk on the radio today by people who call themselves artists.

ParticipantThere's already a thread with the same topic here. Though this seems to be dead since last year.

Participantnew thread it is…
i'm actually really liking this new CD I found… “How We Operate” by Gomez. I heard the title track on a commercial for TNT the other day, and thought it was pretty good.

ParticipantIn addition to the soothing Hum of the A/C unit, hehehe…
Bright Eyes – Bowl of Oranges *thumbs up* Now that's a Feel Good Song.
The Lyrics are just…astonishing. Ultimate Feel Good Song.
*Hearts It…Giggles and Bops Around* It helps that my favorite inanimate object is an Orange (Yes, I have a favorite Inanimate Object. Don't you?)
And each person I encountered, I couldn't wait to meet. And I came upon a doctor who appeared in quite poor health.
I said “there is nothing that I can do for you that you can't do for yourself.”
He said “Oh yes you can. Just hold my hand. I think that would help.”
So I sat with him a while and then I asked him how he felt.
He said, “I think I'm cured. No, in fact, I'm sure. Thank you Stranger, for your therapeutic smile.”July 10, 2006 at 10:14 pm #119074princeG

“It's not a Fashion Statement, It's a Deathwish” -My Chemical RomanceI'm wondering if this was the song that I heard by MCR the other day. I was always abit put off by their name being a product of the 80's myself [thought they would be too “modern” for me] but I loved it!
Actually, thinking on it may have been “The Chemical Brothers”. Another band name that I obviously had the same problems with [ie reluctance to take them seriously as an older person – I'm 45] but it was brilliant. So distinctive and listenable. I listen to alot of radio because I drive a taxi for a living but I get bored with the oldies stations after awhile…
Ah, well, another pointless – though hopefully not antagonistic – post.
I'm sure to be banned soon.
:woot: 😮

Participanthaha The Chemical Brothers are a completely different genre than My Chemical Romance. Completely. Chemical Brothers are an electronica group, MCR is…. emo punk rock? Something like that (I don't listen to MCR, but one of my old roommates did occasionally).
I rarely get to listen to the radio (except the “classic rock” station that's playing when I'm at work), so I rely mostly on my collection of MP3s… which is continually growing.
