May 29, 2003 at 11:17 am #67831OctoberTheHottieMemberi vote 3 for in the middle, cuz i like it, i make the expressions, but i really don’t talk to anyone <–antisocial, lol i used to use yahoo and i was used to it, then when i started to use aim i hated it cuz it was different, i still can't make any other smiley except the basic smile, the big smile is my fav but it isn't the same as on yahoo, so oh well….. except for aim being my fav hobby, aol is hell…..
July 16, 2003 at 5:25 pm #67837MissSexcBabeMemberi voted 4…because sometimes, my aim is really really slow..but other times, its really really fast!! hehe..BUT I JUST LOVE AIM BETTER THAN AOL..:)
July 16, 2003 at 11:32 pm #67833Someguy03MemberI would say Msn messenger but most of my friends use aim so i would have to go with that. It needs a hell of alot of work if it wants to be my number one Chating program.
July 17, 2003 at 8:52 am #67835chokeonyourwordsMemberaim is ok. there are a few beefs i have with aol about the way they designed the program, but i still like it. maybe a 4 or something.
July 30, 2003 at 6:34 am #67839JThumsMemberI give it a 3 because i only use it to talk to my dad and cousins
July 30, 2003 at 6:12 pm #67838jjn1026MemberI give it a 3 because I think Yahoo is better than AIM. Aim doesn’t have invis or a cam program. The smilies sucks for aim unlike yahoo.
August 13, 2003 at 6:14 am #67843UnderdogMemberI gave it a 2. I’ve used almost all of the IM’s that are out there at one time or the other, and next to MSN, it one of the ones I disliked most. I think Yahoo gives you a better selection, and think the smiley’s are better too.
August 13, 2003 at 6:50 am #67842TigerbladeParticipantQuote:quote:Originally posted by SonorkGuyaim is a mediocre sort of IM – it works, and has a LOT of users, but the quality of aim not the thing that bugs me about it – the main thing is what I suspect AOL does with the user info, and how they could sort of “guide” users in the directions they want them going (not the mention a force-fed diet of SPAM). Preying on the ignorance and naîvete of inexperienced users….
But, I guess that’s “good business”. ;o)
Just my opinion, anyway.
yeah, i like aim, its easy to use and almost everyone has it. BUT… it has some serious problems. when each successive version released fixes the old bug by simply replacing it with a new one… something’s wrong. and considering its a product of AOL, which i utterly and violently despise… almost everyone i know that uses AOL is a complete moron when it comes to computers (too bad if i offend you, its my opinion. you could disagree, but you’d be wrong :p). i still prefer AIM over MSN though – i’ve had AIM since the start of my freshman year in college, and didnt get MSN til sometime second semester…
just my two cents worthAugust 13, 2003 at 7:30 pm #67836BrdMc3Memberi love it but i guess basically just because a have a cool add on
August 13, 2003 at 8:03 pm #67832KPK102MemberI like AIM for online time, away messages, profiles and idleness, but I think MSN is better for smilies and for webcam.
August 15, 2003 at 2:59 am #67845Sh8keS 32Memberi give it a 4 because there are sometimes a lot of bugs in AIM
August 15, 2003 at 2:41 pm #67844westcostchopprsMemberi like aol but sometimes the warning can get out of hand sometimes
September 1, 2003 at 9:23 pm #67848nexMemberdefinitely 5!!!!
September 1, 2003 at 10:56 pm #67841korruptmindMemberi gave it a 3 i think its not a great program but wut it does it does well. like compered to msn its crap but then again no one uses msn. if aim comes out with a nice skin, a cam, and games…. then itl be perfect
