We have a post called “What are you listening to”
So today I was thinking I watch lots of films. And thought well let’s try this, so what was the last film you watched? Good or bad …
The last film I watched was called The Happening.
Liked it, the acting was a bit cardboard, but made me think.
November 1, 2008 at 7:18 pm #171911imported_Ven0mMemberThe Dark Knight. Excellent movie.
November 1, 2008 at 7:30 pm #171892TigerbladeParticipantI watch movies too frequently to even bother listing them. That’s the curse of Netflix + DVR + *cough cough* other sources *cough*
Last movie I watched to the end was The Hard Easy – two groups of thieves have the same heist planned for the same time. Drama and mild hilarity ensues. Not bad, but not going to be nominated for any awards. I can’t see Bruce Dern as anything but the peacenik hippy from Silent Running.
November 1, 2008 at 11:12 pm #171884Jeff HesterKeymasterI just got back from a trip to Santiago, Chile — a LONG flight — and I was able to watch several movies over the course of the trip:
- The Incredible Hulk (the Ed Norton version; not bad)
- Iron Man (I had already seen it in the theater, but still enjoyed it)
- Son of Rambow (very cute comedy about friendship)
I’m looking forward to seeing the new Bond movie in a couple weeks, and I’d like to see “W.”
November 2, 2008 at 12:53 am #171888detn8rParticipantI had actually rented the flick Stuck supposedly based on a true story.
It’s one of those B-class movies, straight to DVD, with hardly-to-no main stream actors, but nevertheless pretty decent.
I’d definitely recommend a download or Netflix/Blockbuster rental.

Agreed! It’s interesting, as it puts you in the story to make up your mind, as “what would you do?”
November 8, 2008 at 1:22 pm #171901sarahtownyMemberResurrection Mary Give it 3/5
A young man meets a girl who might be a ghost, but matters turn serious when his friends start dying under mysterious circumstances.
What was interesting, is they based it on a ghost that is meant to haunt an area in Chicago.
Worth a watch 😉

The worst of the series in my humble opinion. Too ‘light’ for a Saw movie.. They should have probably ended it after III.
I guess they’re trying to make it like a Friday the 13th kinda thing which is a mistake.November 16, 2008 at 5:17 am #171885FanaticMemberI saw “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” last night. It was funny, but not as funny as my friends had built it up to be. Worth watching though.
December 6, 2008 at 5:37 pm #171910MrOatsMemberRecently I saw two on DVD: Say Anything and Storm of the Century.
I thought the story to Say Anything was touching and had a great atmosphere to it.
Storm of the Century was very gripping for me. It is over 4 hours long and I watched the whole thing in one sitting.
December 6, 2008 at 5:56 pm #171912YahooliganMemberI saw two recently in the theater… Transporter 3 and Quantum of Solace.
Transporter 3 was a great driving movie. No pretensions, just pure action.
Quantum of Solace was a great Bond movie and a natural continuation of the previous Bond film.
December 10, 2008 at 3:21 am #171893TigerbladeParticipantI just watched Babylon AD (starring Vin Diesel and Michelle Yeoh) and… hmm. Somewhat decent action sequences, and some really nice visuals/CG, but the plot was practically non-existent. I got to the end and went, “uh, what just happened?”
I give it 2.5 of 5 stars.
December 11, 2008 at 4:19 am #171894TigerbladeParticipantHAHAHA I just watched “Versus” – it’s a Japanese B-movie. If I had to give you the plot line, well… there isn’t one, really. Basically a guy escapes from prison, gets into a fight with some gangsters (yakuza) and finds out that unfortunately they’re in the Forest of Resurrection where people don’t stay dead. Almost two hours of pointless zombie kung-fu gunplay/swordplay resulting in lots of over-the-top gore effects, and then some weird mystical destiny-sorts of stuff.
Weird, but somehow awesome all at once. I highly recommend it if you have two hours to waste and enjoy bizarre movies. And zombies. And kung-fu.
December 14, 2008 at 2:44 am #171895TigerbladeParticipantWhat, is no one else watching movies or do I just have too much free time on my hands?
Tonight’s feature was extra special… “The Tiger Blade,” a 2005 Thai action film. Obviously I’ve had my username since before 2005, so don’t get any ideas about it being where I got the idea.
Howerver…. either there’s a serious gap in translation or whoever wrote the plot synopsis for this movie didn’t actually watch it, because most of the summaries I saw were completely wrong.
