Well when I was really young I went from a lot of things… First the guy who drove the “choo-choo” to the guy who worked on construction sites to the structures engineer, because daddy was one.
Now i’ve got plans as a professional musician… playing rock at clubs on bass and recording soundracks for video games in an orchestra… something like that… of course my dad still wants me to put in some years and be an engineer.
lol I know this kid who wants to be a giraffe…
December 9, 2004 at 2:43 am #106378mdandeMemberi really wanted to be a train engineer. I still have the passion for trains. I find myself counting how many cars the train is pulling when I get stuck waiting for 1 to go by. also as a child I was amazed by a family friend that was into amateur radio, and 2 years ago I went and got my amateur radio license. I am still working on learning morse code to upgrade my license. one other thing I would like to prosue is be a fire fighter. there is a couple of volunteer fire stations in my area that will pay for the training needed to be a 1 and it is a good start to get my foot in the door for a real fire house.
December 9, 2004 at 2:48 am #106379SpikeMemberI got my first computer when I was four, with Windows 3.1/DOS 6.0. After a year I kinda knew I’d be doing things with computers.

December 13, 2004 at 5:23 am #106364JazzBabyMemberI went throught wanting to be a lot of different things as a kid
For a long long time I wanted to be a professional ballerina and actually looked into going to Juliard but I had to abandon that dream. I went through wanting to be an architect, a scientist, a great number of things, but these days I want to be a medieval studies professor and researcher. Or maybe an actor. I’d love to be famous.

I believe Zellers is a jewelry store… correct me if I’m wrong.
Several years ago, I wanted to be a chemical engineer(like, mixing together strange liquids and making explosions :D) but now, I would REALLY like to be a computer programmer. I think that would really be a job I would enjoy.
Hahah, which kind of reminds me… my friends always tease me about how much time I spend on my computer, and how much of a geek I am(though I don’t think I’m a real geek). They were teasing me about it today at church in Sunday school, but my sunday school teacher pointed at me and said “Hey guys, one day this kid is gonna be rich, have a mansion and a beautiful wife, and the rest of you will just be contruction workers…” something like that.

December 14, 2004 at 11:48 pm #106385RuseOfMetacarpiMemberAs a child I wanted to be a phsychologist, somehow my disfunctional family made me a prime candidate for the psychology job. But now, I’d say I want to be the cliche “Programmer/Cg Animator”. Or perhaps a fashion designer or a firefighter…..so similar I just….can’t decide. *shrugs* Seems like I’m sticking with this computer gig for now. 😎

December 15, 2004 at 12:52 am #106371RabidKittenParticipantGosh I went through all kinds of crap when I was a kid. I wanted to be a psychiatrist because psychologists don’t get all the fun drugs *laughs*. I also wanted to go and be a teacher, but only to prove that I could do it better, then I realized that I hate kids, so that’s a no go. I also had an inkling to be a professional speaker or actor, but…yeah how impractical is that, right? Now I’m sticking to graphic design…hoping to get into video game design and crap like that. I’ve always had a thing for being a photog though at a TV station…I have a good eye for balance and shots and crap like that… *sigh* Who knows. *shrug*
Edit: I obviously shouldn’t be a teacher, I had to correct some spelling

December 15, 2004 at 1:47 am #106386RuseOfMetacarpiMember*shrugs* I guess it’s proof you don’t always get what you pay for, even in the educational sense. I guess it’s natural to change careers every two days right?? *drops to the floor suddenly in a fit of spasms……..gets up looking dazed and confused*
