I use Winamp 5.1 for audio and Windows Media Player 9 for movies.
winamp is the best, by far. if the skinning and functionality dont make it the best, then the songlist/playlist editor, the ability to get plugins for everything, and the awesome options does.
oh and I found a glitch in the registration process that allows you to register for free. if you want info on how to do this, pm me and I shall tell you.
😀 I heart loopholes!
iTunes for XP all the way! Loads fast, burns anything, free internet streaming radio…
itunes all the way.
Windows Media Player 10 all the way ! But by reading all the posts here I’m curious to try WinAmp 2.91 😉

WinAmp 2.91 is now soooooooooo outdated. The last version is 5.05, which is the one I am currently using.
I actually really liked Winamp3 because of the playlist handling. Winamp 5 is much more organised, and the layout and User Interface is neat and customisable.
However I tend to use Windows Media Player 9 for videos. WMP10 crashed repeatedly on my computer, and since I wasn’t impressed by the UI*, and did not see any particular spiffy features, I downgraded back to WMP9.
* Note – I generally rate any program, at first impression, by the UI. If the programmer does not have the time/ did not spend the effort to produce a decent UI, which is what the user interacts with, I doubt how much time would be spent debugging and enhancing the application.
